Extension Bases details for all Cupolas (except Castle):
For up to and including a 10/12 roof pitch, no Ext. Base is required
For a 12/12 roof pitch, 1 Extension Base is required
For a 14/12 roof pitch, 2 Extension Bases are required.

Extension Bases for Castle Cupolas:
For up to and including a 12/12 roof pitch, no Ext. Base is required
For a 14/12 roof pitch, 1 Extension Base is required
For a 16/12 roof pitch, 2 Extension Bases are required.

Extension Rod Details:
When installing a weathervane into a 30" or larger Cupola, a Brass Extension Rod is required. In some cases, more than one extension rod is needed. Please call for details.

A good rule of thumb in selecting the right size cupola for your building is a minimum of 1.25" for every foot of unbroken roof ridge line. For example: if a roof section measures 24' the minimum size the cupola should be is 30". For roof lengths 48' and longer you may wnt to consider using 2 or 3 cupolas.
